  • State Regulations

Learn about the various state regulations concerning Food Manager Certification.

What are Idaho's Food Safety Regulations?

Idaho requires food establishments to have at least one Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) for any establishment with a high risk for foodborne illness. This manager is not required to be on premises during all operating hours. The CFPM is responsible for food safety training and must appoint a person in charge (PIC) that will be present during all shifts.

To become a Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM), individuals must pass an ANAB-CFP food protection manager certification exam from an ANAB approved provider such as FMC® Food Managers Certification by EduClasses®.

Always be sure to check with your local health department for any additional training and certification requirements.
